Mother's Day Giving

The First United Methodist Church Foundation, an Arkansas non-profit religious corporation, was first established in 2003 with a lead gift from Earlene and Pat Henry. The Henrys had a vision for what a Foundation could provide FUMC, Springdale, with perpetual gifts to support the ministries of First Church and they cheerfully gave to that vision.

Today, the Foundation exists to glorify God and to expand the ministries of First United Methodist Church, Springdale. That will be done by endowing and supporting the future needs of our church’s ministry and mission through planned giving. We encourage our members and our friends to give so that lives from here on out will be changed through their generosity. Planned gifts are vitally important to the future of the First United Methodist Church and are held in trust forever.

WAYS TO GIVE

We all want to be remembered as faithful servants after we are gone. Our annual gifts are a response to God’s good gifts to us.  However, we often want to do more.

Gifts that can be part of your legacy include:

  • Gifts through your Last Will and Testament
  • Gifts that are outright cash, stocks, or real estate
  • Gifts that are planned to provide life income to you and then income to the church

Planned giving is being thoughtful and faithful about the future. It is about wisely developing your financial plan that both gives to the church and gives back to you.  You will experience joy in giving and the assurance that your gift will continue to support FUMC far beyond the length of your life here on this earth.

There are income and tax advantages.

No gift is too small.  No expression of love or respect will be treated lightly.  Each gift is important.

For more information, contact Mary McKinney at 479.236.4593. Online gifts can be made here.

You will be enriched in every way for great generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.

– 2 Corinthians 9:11
