Summary
Our first message in the “Chosen” sermon series looks at the figure of Joseph of Cyprus, better known to us from the Book of Acts by the nickname Barnabas. He was a traveling companion of the Apostle Paul and a leader in the early church. His name means “Son of Encouragement,” and he shows us how important the ministry of encouragement is in the church—both in his day and in our own.
