Christopher's House is a partnership between First Church and TASC (Teen Action Support Center) to provide a home for families needing transitional housing.
The purpose is to strengthen family units by providing a safe, stable home along with life skills and a support system.
Meet Tristin Smith and Evelyn Flores! They are the new residents of Christopher’s House. They have three very sweet and growing little ones, Avianna (2yrs), Orlando (1yr) and newborn Ezra. Tristin and Evelyn grew up in Northwest Arkansas and as young adults went through some very difficult times. After a year of extreme hardship, they decided to reach out for help and were directed to TASC. They were immediately thought to be an excellent fit for Christopher’s House and have been wonderful residents, jumping right in to help the church community and proactively working to better their situation. Evelyn is planning to start working towards getting her GED as soon as she can find available classes. They are both eager to be part of the First Church community and to welcome God back into their lives. Christopher’s House is an amazing opportunity for them to have a fresh start and also get a lot of support and help along the way. It is clear that they are both willing to do whatever it takes to better their lives and to put in the hard work to heal from past traumas and grow into a healthy family.
