Monitor Elementary Partnership

Through the Springdale Schools Partner in Education program First Church is teamed up with Monitor Elementary.  This partnership is set up to provide resources to Monitor that are not otherwise available.

Serving Opportunities:

There are opportunities for small groups, families and individuals to get involved by:

  • Packing weekend end Snack Packs
  • Delivering and/or Picking up Snack Packs from Lee
  • Sorting gifts for our game giveaway at Christmas
  • Wrap games for our game giveaway during Christmas
  • Lunch Time Mentor/Buddy

Christopher’s House

Christopher’s House is a partnership between First Church and 7Hills Homeless Center to provide a home for families needing transitional housing.  The purpose is to strengthen family units by providing a safe, stable home along with life skills and a support system.  Families live at Christopher’s House for 6-9 months while they transition to a more permanent home of their own.

 

The Bread of Life

The Bread of Life (TBOL) was started in 1992 by a group of volunteers who wanted to be in service to others as an expression of their faith.  This outreach assists people through acts of compassion while helping people to care for themselves and their families.  TBOL offers food to the community of Northwest Akransas as well as USDA Commodities for those living in Washington County, and limited emergency financial assistance for residents of Springdale.

  • Stock pantry
  • Fill client orders
  • Counselor
  • Reception Desk
  • Data Entry

Daily Bread

Daily Bread is our free community meal served from 10:45 – 12:00.  Meals are served every week on Wednesdays.

  • Prepare Meal
  • Serve Meal

His Helping Hands Clothing Closet

Service Opportunities:

There are opportunities for small groups, families and individuals to get involved by:

  • Donate clothing in the bins at the church or drop donations at the Agape Campus on Huntsville
  • Volunteer an hour or more on Thursdays at His Helping Hands clothes closet at the Agape Campus
