First Church has one of the strongest Youth Ministries in the region. With a staff of committed leaders, both paid and volunteer, 1st Youth is continually reaching new students and equipping current students in order to help them experience and grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.
The 1st Youth ministry at First Church Springdale exists to train up the next generation of Christ followers so that our lives, our families, and our communities are forever changed. Our ministry is vibrant and growing but a strong emphasis on fellowship and small groups ensures that our young people stay closely connected. We are a ministry focused on spiritual formation, worship, and mission, and we would love for you to come experience the Holy Spirit’s work among us.

At First Church, we are working with God and families to transform students into deeply devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
7th-12th graders will gather for an evening of worship and community. Students and leaders will share a meal together from 5:00-5:30, and then spend time in worship, including music and teachings that will provide material for small group discussions. This will foster catalytic small groups that become groups of close friends and mentors that provide support as they walk through life together.
Our students meet in the Youth Wherehouse on Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:30 for a relational time, including a meal, free-flowing fellowship, and student-led discussions based on short weekly messages meant to make students think. They will have fun with one another while also being given the skills to lead discussions and to learn to articulate their beliefs.
Our confirmation class prepares our students for the vows of church membership at First Church. Our students participate in a variety of different learning experiences and explore what it means to be a Wesleyan disciple of Jesus Christ. They meet with the larger youth group on Sunday Evenings at 5 and break off into their confirmation class lead by Pastor Todd Lovell.
